DNC Delegate Bio

I’m Justin Evans and I’m excited to attend my first Democratic National Convention as a Warren Delegate. I first got involved in politics after the 2016 election and in that time have joined my Democratic Town Committee, risen to Vice-Chair of my regional Young Democrats of Massachusetts chapter, and am serving my first term on the Select Board in Whitman, MA. My brief experience in politics has taken me places I never imagined.

I’m a South Shore native of Massachusetts, who left to study Mechanical Engineering and work at a Clean Tech start-up. When my company went under I returned to school to get a Masters in Energy Systems Engineering and got a job as a Public Utilities Engineer with the Commonwealth. I love to get into the weeds of energy and climate conversations.

In my year on the Select Board (and two years on the finance committee) I’ve taken the time to get involved in every opportunity and subcommittee that I can. I worked on the Budget Policy subcommittee, the Budget Override Evaluation Subcommittee, the Regional Agreement Amendment Committee, and am leading the charge on joining the Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness program and the Community Preservation Act.
